Jenny Brown opened the Bead Boutique in June, 2008. Making jewelry has been a lifelong pursuit. Both her parents inspired her in their own ways. Jenny’s father owned an advertising business, and Jenny spent many afternoons in his studio drawing and just putting color schemes together with his colored pencils. At one point, Jenny’s mother took her to a gem and jewelry show where she bought her some garnets and pearls. A lifelong love was born and Jenny began making earrings for her friends. The mother of a high school friend recently called Jenny and mentioned that one of those early pair of earrings is still a treasured accessory. Brown is now an accomplished jewelry designer whose pieces are collected throughout the United States. Her designs are always evolving with new techniques and styles being added to her repertoire. Brown’s understanding and use of color adds a startling originality to her creations, and she has just added wire wrapping to her ever-growing style.
So it is that a life-long love of color, texture, gems, beads and fashion has come together in the Bead Boutique where Jenny Brown has made a treasure trove for amateurs, enthusiasts, and artists alike.
